T646 MicroRTU RELEASED FOR GENERAL AVAILABLILITY
Boise, Idaho – February
28, 2002 – Telemetric Corporation, a leading provider
of wireless remote monitoring and control solutions, announced
today that the T646 MicroRTU is now commercially available. Based
on the successful and proven T422 MicroRTU, the T646 monitors
status through six digital inputs and four analog inputs; six
digital outputs are used for controlling equipment.
“The T646 underwent significant
improvements since the first generation T422 MicroRTU. In addition
to more inputs and outputs, devices now provide 12-bit accuracy
and true RMS measurement of line voltage; significant improvements
were made to local and remote programming capabilities of the
device; and finally a DNP interface allows direct communication
with the utility SCADA system,” said Product Manager Bruce
Hogan.
The Telemetric MicroRTU is a small point
count RTU with an integrated two-way cellular radio for remote
monitoring, control and automation of equipment with discrete
I/O points. The MicroRTU is a cost effective solution that can
be easily deployed with immediate access from SCADA or the Telemetric
secure web server. Using the Telemetric web server, event based
control actions and automated email and pager notifications can
be defined.
