Distribution Automation Xchange (DA Xchange) is
a one-of-a-kind opportunity to discuss distribution automation
issues with peers and industry experts
April 16, 2003 – Boise,
ID – Telemetric is excited to announce that it
will be sponsoring DA Xchange, which will take place on Thursday,
June 5 at Kansas City Power and Light (KCP&L). The event will
cover topics critical to improving distribution efficiencies such
as: automating remote substations; extending SCADA to downline
equipment; wireless options for automation; faulted circuit indicator
applications; and actively monitoring capacitor banks.
The panel of presenters will include
highly respected industry professionals such as Rick Schmidt of
Power Systems Engineering; Carl Goeckeler with KCP&L; and
Jon Wirtz from Westar.
The afternoon will highlight a trip to
the KCP&L Sub One Training Yard. This is a hands on opportunity
to learn about the latest DA technologies at the KCP&L energized
13.2 kV training facility. Information discussed in the morning
sessions can be followed up on, and many applications can be seen
operating live in the field.
